After 17 long years, stars of the 2002 favorite drama love story “A Walk to Remember” Mandy Moore and Shane west were reunited when the actress-singer received her Walk of Fame star in Hollywood last Monday, March 25.
The 34 year old Moore started her speech by crediting the movie with West as a “monumental project” which made up her acting career.
The “This is US” actress further gave thanks to Shane’s incomparable support.
“Reflecting back on that time [on A Walk to Remember], my first leading role, I can’t help but think of my poor, sweet co-star Shane, explaining the basics of filmmaking to me, like how to hit my mark and when and how to deliver my lines,” she said.
She lauded the 40-year-old actor for his invaluable contribution in her acting career and described him as “exceedingly patient, kind and so talented.”
Moore said they were not expecting that the movie will be a favorite over the years and new generations would always search for the movie to fall in love again.
Gotham star West for his part talked about the actress last month was phenomenal and his best buddy while they were working on the movie.
“Not only was this film a wonderful experience in every way, it gave me the chance to fall for this fantastic woman,” he said.
