The mother of singer Darren Espanto, Marinel Gonzales-Espanto, apparently filed a cyber libel case against JK Labajo for allegedly calling her son “gay” on social media.
According to a PEP Troika article, Marinel filed the case on behalf of her son after JK posted a tweet which reads “gayness at its finest” referring to Darren.
The report said that Darren’s mother even waited for JK to turn 18 years old so that he can legally face the cyber libel charges. JK became of legal age last February 5.
Likewise, Darren is only 17 years old that is why his mother was the one who filed the case against JK.
This was also the reason why JK got so mad when he got heckled during the Rakrakan 2019 music fest on March 1 in Circuit Makati.
It can be recalled that JK cursed and flashed his finger to a fan who shouted “I love you, Darren” during his performance.
The source also said that JK has not yet aired his opinions on the issue.
