Claudine Barretto remembers “Marina” co-star Chokoleit

Actress Claudine Barretto was one of the many celebrities who paid tribute to comedian Chokoleit who passed away on March 9 after performing in an event in Abra.

Barretto and Chokoleit worked together in the ABS-CBN’s fantasy series “Marina” in 2004. Since then, they have become good friends.

In an Instagram post, Barretto posted a video of their bonding moments with the caption, “Mamimiss ko ‘to.”

Barretto also asked Chokoleit to give late director Wenn Deramas and late actor Rico Yan a hug in the afterlife for her.

“Thank you Choko. Isa kang LOYAL na kaibigan. Mahal na mahal kita at di kita makakalimutan kahit kalian,” Barretto said.

Star Magic confirmed earlier today that Chokoleit, whose real name is Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, succumbed to pulmonary edema and heart attack after performing for nearly an hour in Abra.
