JK Labajo defends self after cursing fan who yelled “Darren” during show

Singer Juan Karlos Labajo has spoken up after a video of him cursing and flashing a finger at a fan onstage went viral online.

It can be recalled that Labajo was not pleased when he got heckled by one of the audience members when he and his band took the stage during the Rakrakan 2019 which took place in Circuit Makati.

As seen in a video that has been circulated online, one of the people in the crowd shouted “I love you, Darren” while Labajo was introducing himself and his band before their performance.

The words that were shouted by the woman irked Labajo which caused the latter to call her out onstage.

“Ako nga pala si JK, eto nga pala si [glaring word] mo,” he said while looking at and flashing his middle finger to the one who shouted Darren’s name.

“Tigilan mo na ‘yan. Ayaw ko nang marinig ‘yang pangalan na ‘yan. Nakaka-buwisit,” he continued.

He went on to say that he is happy playing for the crowd except for the one who kept on shouting Darren’s name.

After the incident, Labajo took to his Instagram stories to defend himself and address the issue.

He told his followers not to judge him for lashing out at the fan without knowing the full story.

“Hindi porket nagmumura, masama na ang ugali. Lumalaki na ang ulo,” he said.

“Sa Pilipinas lang pinaka big deal pag nagmura ang isang artista.

“Obviously as a performer what I did was unprofessional but as a human being I think what I did was normal,” he added.

He said that the real problem is that there are so many who are disrespectful and rude audience members during shows.

Labajo ended his post by saying he puts on a different personality when he is performing onstage and people should not judge him if they do not know him well personally.

The feud between Labajo and Darren Espanto started when the latter allegedly called his fellow “The Voice Kids” finalist “gay” on social media.
