Wurtzbach then commented on the said photo saying Marquez is “Miss Universe material”.

Marquez then took a screenshot of Wurtzbach’s comment and posted it on her Instagram Story.

“Can’t lie. I had a mini heart attack when I read this,” she captioned the photo.

“Pia is one of my inspirations. I really looked up to her lalo na nung BBP/MU 2015. TBH, I was low key kilig (well super kilig) na makasabay ko siya mag perform sa isang stage nung sabay kami nag BBP. Pwede ko na pa print and pa frame comment na to… thank you!” she added.

It can be recalled that Wurtzbach and Marquez were batchmates during Binibining Pilipinas 2015.

Wurtzbach took home the Miss Universe Philippines crown, while Marquez ended up in the Top 15.

After competing in Binibining Pilipinas, Marquez competed in Miss World Philippines 2017. She won the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas crown.

She also won the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant which took place in Bolivia making her the first Filipina to win the crown.

This year, pageant fans are expecting that she will once again join Binibining Pilipinas saying that she is already one of the front-runners.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2019 pageant is expected to happen in June 2019.
