WATCH: Filipino shadow act gets Golden Buzzer in “Asia’s Got Talent”

Filipino talents are continuously standing out on the latest season of “Asia’s Got Talent” and a shadow act of a Filipino is one of the recent performance to wow the audience and judges.

Shadow Ace started off his audition by explaining that he learned how to create creative shadow figures with his hands by playing with the candlelight when he was younger whenever their town in the Philippines would experience a power outage.

He then took the stage and performed his unique yet entertaining act wherein he made his hands look like people who are dancing and singing.

After his audition, he got loud cheers from the audience and the approval of the judges.

“Shadow Ace, it’s a silly little thing, I guess, to say to play with your hands and make figures like that but I will tell you, I forgot that they were hands. They were people to me,” judge David Forster said.

“I am so glad that you are on this show. I loved that performance,” judge Anggun added.

For his part, judge Jay Park said: “I thought the pole dancing thing and the hoola hoop were brilliant. We’ve seen some shadow shows, but this is, by far, the best one”

When the judges were about to give their verdict, hosts Alan Wong and Justin Bratton went out of the backstage to go to the judges’ table and press the Golden Buzzer.

Because he got one of the Golden Buzzers, Shadow Ace will be automatically be part of the semi-finals.
