“Alone/Together”, the latest movie from the Filipino favorite love team LizQuen, is a story of 27-year-old Tita Pretty (Liza Soberano) who graduated from a state university with flying colors, aching to change the world.
Something happened along the way during her professional life and it shattered her dreams as well as relationship with college sweetheart, Raf (Enrique Gil), with whom she broke off.
She picked up the pieces and ended up with a married businessman whose daughter would call her Tita Pretty, and who as well promised to marry her soon as his annulment with his wife is done.
Twist and turns and she met up with Raf again at, of all places, a TOYM event where her businessman lover is an awardee and so is Raf who have become a respected doctor just as she had wanted him to be.
Plot thickens and we’ll save the rest for you except to say that the movie is about not giving up despite a devastating past, of chasing your dream no matter what, and breaking out of your comfort zone to catch it.
The movie is replete with kilig moments as it is with iyakan moments.
