If you love the song “Let It Go” from the Disney movie “Frozen”, then you are in for a treat as the Filipino-American composer who wrote that song will also be the one who will provide captivating music for the movie’s sequel.

Disney released the teaser trailer of “Frozen 2” on February 13, and even though it is a bit difficult to point out what the sequel’s storyline will be about, fans are still excited to see their beloved characters, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, back on the big screen.

The first part of the trailer shows Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel, standing by the shore before jumping into the ocean to traverse giant waves.

Other scenes show Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf in an adventure though key details were withheld making it difficult to make sense out of the trailer.

It also appears that new characters will be introduced and the story will be set in the autumn season.

The first “Frozen” movie became one of the highest grossing Disney films of all time after earning $1 billion from ticket sales around the world.

Filipino-American composer Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez are expected to write new songs that will be featured on the said film.

The couple were also the ones who composed the songs during the first movie, including the Oscar-winning song “Let It Go”.

Lopez is the first and only person to win all four major awards in Hollywood, namely Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT), more than once.

Celebrities in Hollywood dream of achieving the EGOT status because winning all four awards has been referred to as winning the “grand slam” of American show business.

Lopez has two Emmy Awards; three Grammy Awards; three Tony Awards; and two Oscars.

Aside from reaching the EGOT status, Lopez is also the youngest person and the quickest to win all four awards.

Lopez was born in Manhattan to an American mother and Filipino father. His father, Frank Lopez, hailed from San Enrique, Iloilo.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are the directors of “Frozen 2”.

The sequel is expected to hit theaters in November.
