After revealing that they are exclusively dating, actor Arjo Atayde posted a photo of a beaming Maine Mendoza on his Instagram Story after they met for a date in the United States.
Atayde no longer gave further details about his date with Mendoza abroad, but it can be seen in the photo that they had an intimate and romantic dinner.
“Save the best stop for last,” Atayde captioned the photo implying that he planned on meeting Mendoza in the States before returning to the Philippines.
Mendoza flew to the US a few days ago for a collaborative project with a famous cosmetics brand, while Atayde went to Virginia as part of Maja Salvador’s concert.
Atayde and Mendoza first met when they worked together for the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles”.
After the production of the said movie, they have been spotted by fans going on dates several times. Netizens also speculated that they went on their first international trip together back in November 2018 after several photos circulated online suggesting that they were in Indonesia at the same time.
Atayde and Mendoza’s relationship did not please some netizens, especially those who are fans of the latter’s on-screen partnership with Alden Richards. However, Atayde also said that he is ready to fight for Mendoza, as well as his family, when bashers would attack them online.
Atayde also previously said that he would like to keep his relationship with Mendoza private and away from the public eye.
