by | Entertainment

They say that New York is one of the most fashionable cities in the world and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray did not disappoint as she was definitely a headturner during this year’s New York Fashion Week.

For several days, Gray attended several events and fashion shows around the Big Apple as part of her duties as Miss Universe.

She took to social media to show her followers what she wore when she attended the said fashion events.

One of the first events that Gray attended was the amfAR Gala New York held at Cipriani Wall Street, which has been considered as one of the most high-profile events that recognize individuals who made notable contributions in helping eradicate HIV/AIDS.

The said black tie event also serves as the unofficial kickoff to the annual New York Fashion Week and Gray graced the event wearing a flowy red gown with floral details.

Gray also listened to the E! Front Five panel panel discussion about inclusivity and representation in the fashion industry. She attended the event in a bright pink dress with floral details which she accessorized with white earrings, a clutch, and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin shoes.

She watched Sherri Hill’s fashion show donned in one of the designer’s creations.

Gray also posted a photo of her walking around New York looking chic in her white ensemble which she paired with a brown trenchcoat at a pair of sparkly Louboutin shoes.

She attended the said events with her Miss Universe sisters, Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers and Miss Teen USA 2018 Hailey Colborn.

Lastly, Gray uploaded a photo on her Instagram to express how excited she is to go back to the Philippines.

Stella Marquez-Araneta, head of the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), said that they are preparing for a grand welcome for Gray who is expected to come home to the Philippines on February 20.

Marquez-Araneta told The STAR, with the go-signal of the Miss Universe Organization, that Gray will have an official homecoming fit for a queen which will have a grand celebration and a victory parade.

The victory parade will be from Makati to Manila on February 21, and another parade will be on the 23rd at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City, where Gray was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2018.

The fourth Filipina Miss Universe is also expected to visit some of the organizations close to her heart when she visits the Philippines. Some of these organizations include LoveYourself Philippines, Smile Train, and Young Focus Philippines.
