WATCH: OFW daughters earn standing ovation from “Asia’s Got Talent” judges

Two sisters whose father works as a seafarer were able to get a standing ovation, as well as the judges’ approval during the premiere episode of “Asia’s Got Talent” aired on Thursday, February 7.

The singing duo called HK Sisters, composed of Harrah Kaym Castillo, 16, and Hannah Korin Castillo, 17, wowed everyone with their rendition of the song “Think of Me” from the musical “Phantom of the Opera”.

Before they performed, the sisters were asked what would it mean to them if they are the ones who will win the $100,000 cash prize.

They answered by saying: “Our father is a seafarer so we only see him for about two months and he works on the ship for six to nine months. If we win this, we get to spend more time with him.”

The HK Sisters are no longer strangers to talent competitions.

Before they entered “Asia’s Got Talent”, they already competed at the World Championships of Performing Arts. They were able to get awards as individuals and as a duo.
