Daniel Padilla’s mother Karla Estrada has finally broke her silence regarding the rumored engagement of her son to actress Kathryn Bernardo.
It can be recalled that fans of Kathryn and Daniel are wondering if they are now engaged after the former’s mother posted a photo on Instagram that suggests the thought.
“May nag proposed (sic),” Kathryn’s mom, Min Bernardo wrote on Facebook.
Because of Min’s post, many fans are speculating that Daniel has already popped the question to his girlfriend when they went to Japan.
After the rumors started to spread, perennial on-screen love team and real-life couple said that the speculations are not true and that it was only just for fun.
This clarification was reiterated by Karla on an episode of her morning talk show “Magandang Buhay”.
“Kasi may lumabas nung nasa Japan sila, pero katuwaan lang ‘yon ni Tita Min at saka ni Do [Daniel’s personal assistant]. Nagkatuwaan lang. So parang pinalabas. Kaya medyo nalito ang mga tao,” Karla said.
“Pero kinlaro rin ni Kathryn ito sa ‘TV Patrol’ if I’m not mistaken. Kinlaro niya na katuwaan ‘yon. Ang sinabi ni Kathryn, hindi po totoo ‘yon, ini-entertain niya ang idea pero kailangan pa nilang magtrabaho at marami pang opportunity,” she added.
Nevertheless, Daniel and Kathryn have admitted in the past that they have talked about settling down, but they were also quick to say that their marriage will not happen any time soon.
