Celebrity brothers Rayver and Rodjun Cruz took to their respective social media accounts to announce that their mother has passed away after her battle with pancreatic cancer.
In an Instagram post, Rayver posted a photo of their family with his mother Elizabeth Cruz — also known as Melody Beth Cruz, seated at the middle on her hospital bed at Makati Medical Center.
“Parang panaginip lang ang lahat na sana pag gising ko ikaw agad ang makikita ko na masaya, masigla, at Punong puno ng ligaya. Napaka Hirap sa pakiramdam, ndi ko alam ang gagawin ko dahil ngayon palang miss na miss na kita,” Rayver captioned the photo.
He also thanked his mother for everything she has done for them.
“Maraming salamat sa lahat mama ngayon ay makakapahinga ka na sa isang napakagandang lugar kung saan ay pede kang sumayaw At kumanta kasama ang mga anghel,” he said.
For his part, Rodjun also posted a photo of him hugging his mother with a lengthy caption.
“Mama, maraming salamat sa mahigpit na yakap ilang araw bago ka kinuha ni Lord kanina. Sobrang mahal na mahal kita at alam ko na alam mo ‘yun. You fought a good fight,” part of his captions reads.
He added: “Ang tapang mo at hanggang dulo lumaban ka dahil sa sobrang pagmamahal mo samin tatlong magkakapatid. Grabe ka Mama. Salamat!”
Netizens also extended their condolences to brothers through the comments section of the said posts.
Neither Rayver nor Rodjun shared further details or subsequent plans about their mother’s death.
