Drew Barrymore gushes over TNT Boys’ performance US talent search

The TNT Boys, composed of Mackie Empuerto, Francis Concepcion, and Kiefer Sanchez, impressed Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore as they try their luck at a global talent competition in the United States.

The trio will be showcasing their world-class singing talent on “The World’s Best” wherein they will represent the Philippines.

A sneak peek of the said competition shows Barrymore, who is one of the judges, complimenting the boys after they sang Beyonce’s hit song “Listen”.

“I have a soft spot for kids. I was a kid performer. I have kids now. This is a whole other thing. You possess a gift. You’re just that good!” Barrymore told the TNT Boys.

Aside from Barrymore, the judging panel include some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry such as singer Faith Hill and drag queen RuPaul. There will also be a “Wall of the World” composed of 50 international artists, including the Philippines’ Pops Fernandez.

The said show, which will air on the US TV network CBS on February 3, will be hosted by English actor and TV host James Corden.

The three boys first appeared on national television as finalists of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids”.

Concepcion, Empuerto, and Sanchez also joined “Your Face Sounds Familiar” which they eventually won. They then appeared on international franchises of “Little Big Shots” including in the USA, UK, and Australia.

The TNT Boys have also caught the attention of international celebrities with their talent, including Jessie J and Ellen DeGeneres.
