A man in the Philippines sought for help after he got terminated from his job because of copying actor Cesar Montano’s infamous birthday greeting video which went viral last year.
It can be recalled that Montano’s birthday greeting video for a barangay official drew reactions from netizens because of the “naked” woman in the background.
The man then appeared on Ben Tulfo’s program “Bitag” wherein he asked for help after he was fired from the company he works at.
He said that he and a co-worker recreated the video inside their workplace, and the management decided to let them go because of what they did which was considered “immoral” and “indecent”.
However, Tulfo scolded the man and asked him why he did such thing. The radio personality also told the man to never participate in any online trend that won’t do them any good.
Nevertheless, Tulfo said that the man might still receive his final salary given that he will undergo the right process and ask for a clearance for his company.
As of press time, the man and Tulfo’s interview is one of the trending videos on YouTube Philippines.
