Kris Aquino took to Instagram to address the controversial phone call wherein she threatened her former project manager Nicko Falcis after its audio recording surfaced online.
Aquino said that the release of the audio recording was a mere “demolition job” from Falcis’ camp.
In the said long-distance phone call which occurred on September 27, 2018, Aquino threatened to have Falcis killed if he dared to return to the Philippines.
A part of conversation went as follows:
Nicko Falcis: Madam… hello
Kris Aquino: “You [explicit] Nicko, okay. NO!”
NF: Madam…
KA: “HUWAG ka nang bumalik sa Pilipinas, nadinig mo, NO, huwag ka, PAPAPATAY KA NG PAMILYA KO, you know what, you know what’s wrong with me? MAY LUPUS AKO, NICKO!” (Shouting)
NF: Oh My God…Madam… Madam… (Crying)
KA: “That’s why, gusto mong bumalik sa Pilipinas? Dare to step in this country and you will be dead.”
NF: Madam…
Aquino said in the phone call that all of the stress caused by her financial issues took a toll on her health. She added that she will be flying to Singapore to have a medical check-up.
“I am going to Singapore. ‘Pag nakuha ko yung diagnosis, you know me, I will tell the Philippines what is wrong with me, and the entire Philippines trusts me,” Aquino can be heard saying towards the end of the phone call as Falcis was sobbing in the background.
After the audio recording spread online, Aquino took to Instagram to address the issue and question why Falcis did not file grave threat charges against her. However, the said post has since been deleted from Aquino’s account.
A few hours after she deleted her first post, Aquino then shared another post on Instagram saying that she was only “bluffing” during the phone call and has no intention on realizing her threats.
“Alam naman niya binubwisit ko lang ang life niya that September 27,” Aquino said in her post.
“You and I know that was a bluff provoked by anger and fear because of my awful health diagnosis,” she added.
She also said that her siblings, including former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, do not have any involvement in the issue.
Aquino added in her post that Falcis should attend workshops to improve his “voice acting” based on how he sounded in the audio recording.
She also shared what happened on September 18, 2018 or nine days before the phone call happened. Aquino said that her relationship with Falcis was never the same after that day.
“Sorry ha, but last time I saw him [Falcis] face-to-face was when I asked for his resignation which he willingly signed, together with a quit claim and NDA. Gusto akong kurutin ni R.A. because I was maldita and said, ‘You are so annoying, please enroll in a worshop. Two hours kang trying to cry, until now walang tears!’ Sabay irap and walk out.”
She added: “Hindi naman ako nahihiya umamin, again R.A. and A.G. na present in the September 18 confrontation. Didn’t know where to look because ayaw nilang matawa, kasi nasabi ko, ‘I’m not my brother, I’m not my sisters, because we all know, I’m not mabait.”
The initials that Aquino mentioned in the post are referring to her employees Rochelle Ahorro (R.A.) and Alvin Gagui (A.G.)
Towards the end of her post, Aquino said that not only Falcis but also “personalities out for political revenge” are just trying to defame her reputation.
“Sadly, this has been one badly orchestrated demolition job being funded by personalities out for political revenge. I’ll own na kasalanan ko ‘to. Diba kung ang tabihan mo may kuto, sure nang mahahawaan ka? Unforgivable for me? Their timing, now that I am so physically weak. Oh well, bilog ang mundo,” she said.
Aside from her lengthy post, Aquino posted another photo which reads, “Do not draw your sword to kill a fly.”
