Comedienne Pokwang shared in the latest episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice” last Sunday that an airport staff in the US had cast a doubt if she is indeed the real mother of her daughter Malia.
“Hindi ‘to chika. Totoong nangyari talaga. Nung pauwi na kami galing San Francisco, boarding na, karga ko na siya Malia,” she recalled, adding that: “Sabi nung ground staff doon, “‘Okay all of the passengers with a baby [come over].’ Sabi sa akin, ‘Are you the mother?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Are you sure you’re the mother?’ Sabi ba naman sa akin.”
Instead of making a big deal out of it, the comedienne just laughed it off.

Thanks to her American partner Lee O’Brian, who was following her during that time, the staff did not ask her further when he called her ‘baby’.
“Kasunod ko si Papang (Pokwang’s parner). Sabi niya, ‘I will carry [Malia]. Ano ‘yun?! Talagang naloka ako. ‘Are you sure you’re the mother?’” she said.

Even though the comedienne shared this in a very light manner on the TV programme, many netizens reacted that no mother should experience being placed in the same situation.
It was in June 2017 when Pokwang revealed that she was expecting. In January last year, she gave birth to Malia.
Aside from Malia, she has a 21-year-old daughter with her former Japanese partner.
