Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray is only one step away from winning the crown as she entered the Top 3.
Gray made it to the Top 5 together with Puerto Rico, Vietnam, South Africa, and Venezuela.
The remaining candidates immediately did the question and answer after the announcement of the Top 5.
Gray was asked about her opinion on the legalization og marijuana to which she answered: “I am for being used in a medical use, but not so for recreational use. Because, I think if people were to argue what about alcohol and cigarettes? Well, everything is good but with moderation.”
Gray made the final cut, and made it to the Top 3, together with South Africa and Venezuela, who will go through another Q&A round.
The final question was “What is the most important lesson you;ve learned in your life, and how would you apply it to your time as Miss Universe?”
Gray answered: “I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila and the life there is very poor, it’s very sad, and I have always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look in the beauty of the faces of the children, and to be grateful. And I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson. And this I think if I could teach people to be grateful, we can have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster, and children would have a smile on their faces.”
