Is there tension between Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle?

by | Entertainment

Dec. 03, 18 | 2:24 pm

Speculations have spread online that there is an ongoing rift between royal duchesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

Rumor has it that Markle and Middleton got in an “explosive row” or argument during the bridesmaids’ dress fittings when the former got married earlier this year.

It can be recalled that Princess Charlotte, Middleton’s daughter, was one of Markle’s bridesmaids. But the said fitting allegedly ended badly, with Middleton left “in tears” over Markle’s demands for her daughter’s dress.

Middleton also allegedly called out Markle for reprimanding her team telling the latter, “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them.”

However, a spokesperson of the Kensington Palace told The Sun that such rumors are false.

“This never happened,” the Kensington Palace representative said. “It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach.”

Rumors about their rift fueled last month when Markle and her husband Prince Harry announced that they will be moving out of Kensington Palace, the same place where Middleton and her husband Prince William are residing in separate units.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that their reason for moving out is that they “are preparing for the arrival of their first child”.

However, Middleton seemed excited and cheerful when she was asked about her thoughts on Markle and her new baby.
