Filipina singer advances to “X Factor Romania” live shows

Filipino singer Bella Santiago continues to dominate “The X Factor Romania” as she advances to the live shows making her the first Filipino to achieve such feat in the history of the said singing competition.

On Friday night, Santiago officially became part of the live shows of the eight season of “The X Factor Romania” after she got through the Duel rounds.

Santiago belted out Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” which is considered to be a karaoke anthem among Filipinos.

She beat fellow contender Christian Sanda in the Duel rounds earning her a spot in the live shows.

Despite losing to the Filipina singer, Sanda praised Santiago saying that she has an amazing voice with a stage presence that left him speechless.

Santiago is part of the Over 24s category under Delia Matache who said that she had a difficulty choosing between her and Sanda.

This isn’t the first time Santiago appeared on a talent show in Romania. She also joined “Romania’s Got Talent” in 2016, and “Eurovision Romania” earlier this year.

Before she moved to Romania, she has also competed in a few competitions in the Philippines. When she was younger, she joined GMA-7’s singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar. Santiago also became a contestant in It’s Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in 2016.
