Miss Canada to wear Michael Cinco gown in Miss Universe 2018

Canada’s representative to the Miss Universe 2018 has chosen Dubai-based Filipino couturier Michael Cinco to create her evening gown for the highly anticipated event.

Miss Universe Canada 2018 Marta Magdalena Stepien flew all the way to Dubai to visit Cinco’s boutique.

Through an Instagram post, Cinco shared photos of the gowns that Stepien picked.

The first one is a light pink gown with a plunging neckline, while the other one is a white form-fitting gown with intricate floral details.

“Couture fitting with the super stunning Miss Canada Universe in Dubai before she flies to Bangkok to compete in Miss Universe 2018… Marta is probably one of the strongest contenders to win the crown this year,” Cinco said.

For her part, Stepien thanked Cinco for accommodating her and welcoming her in Dubai.

“It is an absolute pleasure and honor to be in the company of the talented Michael Cinco. Thank you for warmly welcoming me to Dubai. Much love! Salamat po!” she said.

She also posed beside the blue ball gown which Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach wore during her final walk.

Cinco’s gowns are no longer strangers in the Miss Universe stage. Aside from the blue ball gown that Wurtzbach donned, he created Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere’s red ombre gown which she also wore during her final walk.

The 67th Miss Universe pageant will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17, 2018. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will pass on the crown to her successor at the end of the event.
