Wishcovery’s talents will shine in the UAE this November to December as Carmela Ariola, Kimberly Baluzo, Hacel Bartolome, Louie Anne Culala, and Princess Sevillena, popularly referred to as the Wishful 5 will be on tour to host mini concerts around the country.

The Wishful 5 recently wowed the media and the partners as they did several performances, both solo and group during the digital press conference of another upcoming concert – the 90’s Upload happening later this year.

“There’s a lot of Pinoys around and it feels like home. We’re really, really blessed because we felt the warm welcome and support of our fellow Filipinos here in Dubai,” said Ariola who’s visiting the UAE for the first time.

The group shared that they already have released their album ‘Journey’ – a certified Platinum release as it has already sold more than 15,000 copies as of press time, which features 18 tracks including their solo original songs.

The group said that their lives have changed totally following their ongoing success in their musical careers. Baluzo said that the biggest change in her life was to be away from her family. “I’m from Bicol so medyo malayo po iyon sa Manila. Nasanay po ako na nandyan sila lagi sa tabi ko. Bunso kasi ako so very attached sa family. Pero kahit mahirap, kinakaya ko.”

Culala shared that while she also misses her family back home, she appreciates how their group found a family in each other: “Nagsama sama po kami sa isang house habang naka base kami sa Manila. I found another family with Wishful (5). Ang saya lang na 5 rin kami sa grupo and kami-kami rin ang nagtutulungan in times of struggles.”

Bartolome said that these days, she’s gained the respect and confidence of more people within and outside her circle: “Biggest change was for myself parang nag gain yung mga nag-re-respect dumami na po sila. And hindi na lang po ako yung tinitignan nila dati na ay, tomboy siya. Iba yung tingin ng mga tao dati, na ganito lang sya pero eto na siya ngayon. Yung mga rumerespeto, medyo dumami na po.”

Ariola said that their ongoing journey gave her hope and the confidence to share her talents and inspire more people. “Sa family ko, their support became more meaningful para sa akin. Mas naging tight at mas naging seryoso sila sa pag suporta sa akin. Sa aking sarili, I became more confident and determined to reach my dreams kasi I realized na hindi katapusan ang lahat ng failures na naranasan ko noon.”

Sevillena, for her part, said that the biggest change was her career: “I am a supply chain coordinator and hindi ko na po talaga in-expect na mangyayari to na magkakaroon ng lalakarang career na iba talaga. Yung singing kasi parang passion lang dati na, ‘sige kanta ka lang’. Pero ngayon talagang career na. Sa Wishcovery, ang laking bagay nung hindi lang money or anything, but yung exposure, yung mga napuntahan namin, dito pa lang sa Dubai sobrang blessed kami. We never expected anything pero binigay po sa amin.”

Organized by La Verdad Events Management, the Wishful 5 will be starting their tour at Dubai’s Boracay Night Club this coming November 30, from 7:00 pm onwards. Tickets to the show are now available at https://platinumlist.net/
