Grammy-award winner and superstar Mariah Carey arrived in Manila early Thursday for her upcoming local concert on October 26.
“I can’t wait to see the fans, the Filipino fans. I am so excited,” said the multiple-platinum singer upon arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via a private plane, reported by the ABS-CBN News.
Her concert entitled “Mariah Carey: Live in Concert” will be held at the Araneta Coliseum this Friday at 8pm.
The pop icon will perform her chart-topping songs such as “Hero,” “Always Be My Baby,” “One Sweet Day,” and “Touch My Body,” among others.
Carey was recently honored by Sony Music Asia Pacific for achieving over 1.6 billion unit sales across the region.
She shared the news via her Instagram profile saying, “Thank you so much Sony Music Asia Pacific for this honor! 1.6 billion? Wow! Thank you to all of my amazing Asian fans for all the years of support.”
