R&B music artist Jay R surprised his long-time girlfriend Mica Javier by popping the question on October 21 at Nobu Hotel, City of Dreams Manila.
According to their social media updates prior to the engagement, the couple were at the said hotel to shoot a music video but little did Javier know that her day would end in a way she did not expect.
Later that day, Jay R and Javier met with some friends at a nearby restaurant where the R&B singer took the opportunity to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
Javier was shocked because of what happened but she still said yes to Jay R’s proposal.
Some of the celebrities who were present at the restaurant to witness the marriage proposal were Coleen Garcia, Billy Crawford, Kris Lawrence, Jason Dy, Karylle, Denise Laurel, Karla Estrada, and Jaya.
The mentioned celebrities took to social media to congratulate the newly-engaged couple.

For his part, Jay R posted a photo on his own Instagram account calling Javier his fiancée.
Javier also can’t believe that she is set to marry Jay R as seen in her recent Instagram posts.
Jay R and Javier, who is known for being a member of “It’s Showtime’s” GirlTrends, have been in a relationship for five years now.
