Muzik Bucket’s Rap Battle Grand Finalists vie for a chance to collab with Ex Battalion

Muzik Bucket sets the stage for four UAE-based Filipino rappers as they compete at the Rap Battle Grand Finals to get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do a collaboration with the Philippines’ rap and hip-hop group sensation, Ex Battalion (Ex B) known for their hit single “Hayaan Mo Sila”.

Billy Joel “Bills” Salcedo, Emmanuel “Crazy Gie” Josue II , Carlos Elias “Carl Illest” Vergara, and Rolando “Lando” Mabalay Jr. stepped up their rap game to rise as the four finalists for Muzik Bucket’s Rap Battle.

The Rap Battle competition started out as an online competition that ran for 3 days and saw submissions from Filipinos and other nationalities. From there, the top 20 contenders were selected and were further trimmed down to the top 10.

The semifinals held last October 12 saw the top 6 rappers emerge from the competition. After which, an on-the-spot freestyle rapping competition was held for the first round, hailing the final four who all performed their original composition with the theme ‘Pangarap’ for the crowd.

The winner to be hailed this coming November 2 at the Muzik Bucket concert will not only get a chance to collab with Ex B, they will also get a trophy and prize money worth Dh 5000 in cash!

The Grand Finals will be the front act of the said concert which will feature Ex B, Reggae superstar Kokoi Baldo, and 90’s Tunog Kalye band Siakol. In addition, performances from local Filipino bands such as Up the Ante, PDM Crew Dubai, Ninong, and DJ Young Jenz will hype up the audience for the main acts.

Doors open at 3:00 PM. The concert, organized by Project One Productions will be held at the Waterfront Market this coming November 2. Tickets are available at Muzik Bucket ticket outlets including Paluto Restaurant by Chef Boy Logro, Pinoy Ward at Rigga Dubai, Gako’s House Restaurant at Rigga Dubai, and at Carcar Restaurant in Sharjah.
