Dubai will once again bear witness to another first – this time with popular Pinoy group Ex Battalion as the group who popularized the viral hit “Hayaan Mo Sila” will be performing on international waters for the first time ever at the upcoming Muzik Bucket 2018 together with fellow first time international performer Kokoi Baldo, and Siakol. The concert, organized by Project 1.ONE Productions will be held at the Waterfront Market this coming November 2.
Here are a few details of the headline performers:
Ex Battalion
Pinoy hip-hop and rap group Ex Battalion or “Ex B” rose to fame with their iconic hit “Hayaan Mo Sila” in 2017 – which has amassed over almost 63,000,000 views in Youtube as of press time. The group members Bosx1ne, Brando, Emcee Rhenn , Flow-G, Skusta Clee, and King Badger have all since enjoyed fame and stardom as their hit song peaked at top 2 at the Philippine Top 20. They have released their new single this year entitled “SouthBoys” on Youtube.
Kokoi Baldo
Reggae superstar Kokoi Baldo was first seen during the second season of The Voice of the Philippines singing Bob Marley’s “One Day”. From his humble beginnings at Boracay’s local music scene, the Bacolod resident has since won the hearts of the masses with over 33,000,000 views on his audition piece. His unique and soulful voice makes his reggae hit covers very engaging which would either get listeners awe-struck or get them to sing along… or both!
Siakol
90’s kids need no further information when they hear the word Siakol as the band was one of the top picks for ‘Tunog Kalye’ hits with their songs such as ‘Bakit Ba’, ‘Ituloy Mo Lang’, ‘Tropa’, ‘Gabay’ and more! The band, formed in 1994, still continues to rock the stage as their fans clamor to listen to their nostalgic hits.
The event will also be the venue for the “Rap Battle Grand Championship Round” set to take place before the main event begins. In addition, performances from top Pinoy local bands such as Up the Ante, PDM Crew Dubai, Ninong and DJ Young Jenz will hype up the audience for the main acts.
