Movie Review: Sarah G brings a fresh convivial take on Miss Granny

Dubai, UAE – The movie Miss Granny is a remake of the film produced in Korea way back 2014. It is a story of a 70-year old woman named Fely (Nova Villa) who lives with the family of her only son, Ramon (Nonie Buencamino) – the wife, Angie (Lotlot de Leon), and the children Jeboy (James Reid) and Hana (Atsaka Mercado). Lola Fely is a nagging, grumpy and controlling person.

Her relentless nagging and worrying had caused sickness to her daughter-in-law, Angie. Ramon was then forced to talk to her mom about moving temporarily to a shelter for the senior citizens until his wife recovers. One fine evening, on her way to meet her grandchild Jeboy, the distressed Lola Fely got drawn to Forever Young photo studio as she saw a picture of her favorite actress Audrey Hepburn displayed in the window. Lola Fely decided to have her photo taken and the photographer said he’ll make her look 50-years younger. After that magical click, she was transformed into her 20-year old self, just like that.

Sarah Geronimo’s acting prowess, warm and jubilant nature combined with the energetic charming talented cast, really made this film a sure hit. They all blend naturally well. The film itself is very much entertaining as tt has the right mixed of comedy, drama, singing and dancing and everything that comes in between.
