Marian Rivera grants leukemia-stricken fan’s wish to see her

A leukemia patient’s wish was granted when actress Marian Rivera decided to surprise her with a visit.

Nine-year-old Ariane wished to see her favorite actress in person. In an Instagram post, Make a Wish Philippines shared a photo of the actress hugging Ariane, saying that kids who meet the celebrity they look up to make them feel hopeful and encourage them to live positively.

Make a Wish Philippines is an organization working to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. They also thanked Rivera for cooperating with them.

“Thank you Ate Marian, for granting a wish for the fourth time and for sharing with us the transformational power of a wish!” read the caption.

Meanwhile, fans are praising the actress for her charity.

“I hope Ariane heals fast. Bless you more, Yanyan,” wrote one netizen.

“Use your popularity to change and affect lives in positive ways. Hope you can reach out more positivity to others,” said another.
