Kapuso actress just proved that she can handle harsh online comments with grace, just like when she recently responded to a netizen who said she looked like gay.
Gutierrez took to Instagram to post a picture of herself glammed up for a press conference for her new show on GMA-7, Victor Magtanggol, where she she will be playing the role of Gwen, the love interest of lead star Alden Richards.
The photo shows Gutierrez wearing a gold netted dress with a nude one-piece undergarment.
The actress also posted a close up version of the said photo a few days after.
While many of her followers filled the comments section of the post with compliments, one Instagram user left a nasty comment that got Gutierrez’s attention.
“Mukha ka pong bakla,” the netizen wrote.
Gutierrez, who has close friends who are members of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community, decided to take the high road and take the basher’s comment as a compliment.
“A compliment! Ang gaganda nila! Mas maganda pa sila sa kin!” Gutierrez wrote.
The actress is a known supporter of the LGBT community and even joined the Pride March at Marikina Sports Center during the pride month celebration last June.
Being the daughter of celebrity parents Lotlot and Ramon Christopher “Monching” de Leon, Gutierrez said that she already knows how to deal with online bashers who would use demeaning words and insults against her.
