Filipino singer Dingdong Avanzado said on Wednesday that he has experienced trauma after being a victim of theft in the United States.
Through an Instagram, the singer posted a photo of his car with a shattered window. He revealed that the incident happened in Vallejo, California.
“Took me awhile to post. This is what caused me so much stress over the weekend. My body bag was stolen along with my wallet, drivers license, some cash and some credit cards,” Avanzado captioned the photo.
According to reports, Avanzado was with his wife, Jessa Zaragoza, and daughter, Jayda, when the incident happened.
“Thankfully, no one was hurt. Just felt a little bit traumatized by this incident. It really is sad that this has become more rampant in this day and age. Wishing this won’t happen to any of my friends and family,” he added.
One netizen told Avanzado that motorists in the US never leave their valuables inside the car because incidents of robbery are common in the area.
Avanzado replied, saying he was already aware about it but forgot that his bag was inside the car.
What added to Avanzado’s disappointment was that authorities are seemingly not taking actions regarding the incident.
“Thing is the authorities can actually track down who did it. The question is will they? It’s such a common thing here nowadays that they won’t even bother to apprehend the perp/s,” Avanzado wrote in the comments section of his post.
Nevertheless, the singer said that he is already feeling better now.
