Regine Velasquez visits distressed OFWs in Dubai

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez paid a visit to the POLO-OWWA in Dubai to share a few moments with distressed female overseas Filipino workers.

Velasquez entertained the audience members who are staying the said government facility by singing one of her hit songs, “Shine”, as seen in a video uploaded on the Gulf News website.

She was joined by her fellow Kapuso singers Christian Bautista and Julie Anne San Jose during the said visit.

“[We met] them just to make them feel light, make them feel loved and happy, and to encourage them that the government is doing their best to bring them home. So we feel them and we pray for them,” Bautista said in an interview with Gulf News.

Supporting UAE-based Filipino designers

During her time in the UAE, Velasquez also grabbed the opportunity to support Filipino fashion designers in the country by wearing their creations.

The 48-year-old singer shared on Instagram some photos of her wearing the gowns designed and created by UAE-based Filipino designers such as Furne One, Ezra Santos, and Ryan Pacioles.
