Kapuso actress Rich Asuncion got married to rugby player Benjamin Mudie through a civil wedding ceremony held in Hong Kong yesterday, May 28.
Sunshine Dizon, Sheena Halili, Glaiza De Castro, and Renz Fernandez were present during Asuncion’s wedding.
Dizon, who was Asuncion’s co-star in GMA’s “Ika-6 Na Utos”, was one of the first people to greet the newlyweds on social media.
“Honored to be a witness and be a part of this special day of your lives. We love you bessy @richellasuncion and @benjmudie,” she wrote on Instagram.
The bride also looked exquisite while wearing her white form-fitting wedding gown with ruffled off shoulder sleeves and thigh-high slit.
While most celebrities choose to wear wedding dresses created by esteemed fashion designers which cost millions of pesos, Asuncion’s close friend Aaron Acuña revealed that the Kapuso actress bought her gown at Sheike, a ready-to-wear boutique in Australia.
According to a report by PEP, Asuncion immediately bought her wedding dress, an “Allure Maxi Dress”, while she was on vacation in Sydney.
According to Sheike’s website, Asuncion’s gown cost AUS$129 or at least P5,000.
After their wedding, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a wedding cruise party at Clear Water Bay for the reception.
Asuncion first came to prominence after joining GMA’s reality talent competition “StarStruck”. She and Mudie have been together since 2015 and got engaged in April 2017.
