Alexa Ilacad is no stranger to juggling work and studies.
Just recently, the young star was able to achieve one of her life goals. She graduated from Senior High School at Treston International College.
The teen actress shared on Instagram the hurdles she had to surpass in order to graduate.
“During my senior high journey, there were so many nights when I wanted to go crazy and give up. I’d come home drained from taping at 5am then head to class at 9am with my hair still curled, looking like a zombie and ending up frustrated because my brain couldn’t absorb anything even though I tried my hardest,” Ilacad stated.
“I’d come to school to take 4 exams (which I only reviewed for the night before) all in one day then rush to an event after. Most times I wouldn’t even be able to come to class AT ALL due to my schedules which made it feel impossible to submit requirements and pass,” she added.
According to her, there were nights when she would just “cry buckets” due to the stress she felt. There were also instances when she questioned herself for not being able to manage her time well.
“I felt like such a failure and a disappointment because I wasn’t able to reach the standards I set for myself at the beginning of senior-high. I started getting so stressed over the smallest tasks because I felt so dumb,” she shared.
Ilacad added that she can’t help but feel proud of herself for overcoming her struggles in the past.
“But yesterday, I proudly graduated senior high-school at Treston International College, completing all my requirements, and passing them all with flying colors. Praise God! He is so good! This is a very proud moment for me because I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it,” she said.
Ilacad ended her post by thanking the people who have been with her throughout her journey.
“All this wouldn’t be possible without the help of my lenient and supportive school, my loving and patient teachers, the whole faculty of Christian Legacy and Treston International College, our school directress, our dean, and most importantly, to my generous classmates, aka FAM, who helped and guided me every step of the way, & to my parents who never pressured me about grades, and to my dog, Blush, who is the absolute best stress reliever,” she said.
