A fan of Sarah Geronimo has urged the Popstar Royalty to tie the knot soon, to which the 29-year-old singer had a witty comeback.
During her concert at Kupferberg Center for the Arts in New York last May 6, Geronimo had a short segment where she opened up some thoughts to her fans.
“Minsan po sumasagi pa rin siya sa isip ko, the heart…” Geronimo said before she got cut off by a fan who abruptly yelled, “Mag-asawa ka na!”
As a response, Geronimo said, “Huwag po kayong ganyan! Kausapin niyo po yung nanay ko. Huwag ganyan.”
Geronimo was referring to her mother, Mommy Divine.
“Nagtatrabaho po ako, ma’am. Wait lang, ma’am. I’m working here. Don’t distract me, ma’am. Because I’m distract-able! Asan na nga ba ako? Ma’am kasi sabi ko, huwag niyo ako idi-distract,” Geronimo said in jest.
Geronimo is in a four-year relationship with actor and triathlete Matteo Guidicelli.
Guidicelli himself previously admitted that he and his girlfriend have talked about settling down in the future.
