Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2018 Catriona Gray recently gave her two cents about looks and outfits during the Grit & Glam event held at Okada Manila on Tuesday night.
The Filipino-Australian beauty queen graced the event alongside reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and past pageant winners Pia Wurtzbach and Iris Mittenaere.
Gray was asked by reporters to share her thoughts about Miss Ecuador 2018 Virginia Silva, who sported a look similar to the one the local beauty queen wore during the Binibining Pilipinas pageant back in March.
The two had similar gowns. Photos and videos also showed the two beauty queens wore almost the same earcuffs.
“The earcuff isn’t mine. Gold-colored gown isn’t mine. I don’t see a problem with it. I’m happy for her, she won. I know behind her is her own journey, so let’s not look something like that, like a similarity in a gown. Let’s just celebrate the women coming up from their countries and hoping to do good,” Gray told reporters at the sidelines of the event.
Like Gray, Silva will represent her country in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.
