For the sleep-deprived, a little shut-eye won’t hurt.
This may have been the mantra of an audience member during one of the live shows of GMA variety show Wowowin.
The show’s host, Willie Revillame, was enjoying his banter with actor and comedian Paolo Contis when he abruptly told the audience to hush and asked the director to give a close-up shot to one guy in the audience who was sleeping.
In a video uploaded on Youtube by GMA, Revillame was seen going down the stage and sitting next to the sleeper.
“Alam niyo mga kababayan, ganun talaga ang buhay. Nakakahiya naman, kanina pa tayo dito. Tatlong araw na po tayong di umaalis dito. Pero nandito pa rin siya,” Revillame said in jest.
“Alam mo pare, naiintindihan ko naman. Naiintindihan ko naman ang kalagayan mo,” Revillame added, referring to the sleeping man.
Revillame said to the audience while motioning them to keep quiet: “Please lang naman. Nagpapahinga ang kaibigan natin.”
Guess what? Revillame was not one to berate his show’s fans. Instead of snapping at the poor audience member, Revillame gave him a surprise: three thousand pesos, a brand new phone and of course, a Wowowin jacket!
