Filipino musician Jim Paredes was bombarded with feedback from netizens after he criticized the current condition of Metro Manila.
In his tweet, the 66-year-old APO Hiking Society member even questioned the president.
“Metro Manila is filthy. Trains don’t work. Traffic is 24/7. Flooding all over. Mr. President, why don’t you close it for 6 months?”

Paredes is referring to the decision of the administration to close Boracay for 6 months for rehabilitation.
He also said that the decision to close the island is “not well-thought out.”
I was being sarcastic! My point is, his decision to close Boracay is not well-thought out.

Many netizens were quick disagree with his opinion and defended the current administration by saying that the government is doing everything for the benefit of Filipinos.
Minsan hindi ko po alam kung anong problema niyo sa Gobyerno natin when in fact ginagawa naman nila lahat para magawa ng maayos ang trabaho nila.

You criticize the admin as if you know everything. Show some empathy and patience Jim. Or better yet, go to Bora and help the rehab.

Uhmm because literally closing down a whole city is lightyears away from being comparable to closing down a beach?

However, there were also some who took Paredes’ side.
We elected our leaders so are expecting that they will do their job. The people have the right to demand good service from the government since we are paying our tax. And we have the right to criticize. These criticism should be taken as people’s feedback to improve their service

There wasn’t any planning to it. It was pure impulse because of the pressure from his Chinese friends.
I s’pose you’re still in denial to the fact that Duts is slowly proving himself unworthy of the seat. He’s just like the others – full of promises.
