WATCH: Filipino community in Dubai welcomes former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was warmly accepted by the Filipino community in Dubai, as seen on a video she posted on her Instagram Story.

It can be seen in the video, which Pia captioned “Salamat mga kababayan”, that a crowd of Filipinos gathered at the Dubai mall to support the former beauty queen.

Wurtzbach is currently in Dubai for a meet-and-greet session with her Filipino fans, which happened yesterday, March 14, from 6 to 8pm at The Watch House.

According to her Instagram post on Tuesday night, the “My Perfect You” actress boarded her flight to Dubai right after the premiere of her movie with Gerald Anderson.

“Just finished attending the premier night of “My Perfect You” and now waiting to board my flight to Dubai. I can’t get over the movie! Still stuck on that feeling,” she captioned the photo.

Wurtzbach previously said that she is “beyond excited” to meet her Filipino fans overseas. This marks her second visit to Dubai.

The former Miss Universe first visited Dubai in November 2016 to spread awareness on sexually transmitted diseases as part of her advocacy.
