Martin del Rosario weighs in on Mark Bautista’s revelation

Actor Martin del Rosario aired his opinion about the recent revelation of singer Mark Bautista in his book titled “Beyond the Mark”, where the latter reportedly came out as bisexual and claimed that he had an intimate relationship with a certain guy friend before.

In an with PEP, Rosario gave his reactions about Bautista’s confessions. “Bakit, ano ba yung kay Mark?” he asked the press members.

But when he was finally enlightened about the issue, del Rosario said that he is not that personally close to Bautista though they know each other.

“Kilala ko siya pero hindi pa kami…walang usap,” he said. However, he still expressed his opinions and reactions towards Bautista’s coming out.

“Ano yan, e. Depende sa tao yun, e, ‘di ba? Kung iyon ang makapagpapasaya sa kanya, bakit mo hahayaan, ‘di ba? Wala, kung umamin siya na ano, e di suportahan natin. Kasi alam natin yung ginawa niyang desisyon e kung magpapasaya sa kanya.” the actor said.

Del Rosario also said that the news about Bautista shocked him but is only focused on the singer’s happiness.

“Nagulat. Nagulat kasi malaking move iyon, lalo na sa Philippines kasi, ‘di ba, ‘pag ano ka, ‘pag gay ka… hindi tulad sa ibang [bansa], kasi mas conservative yung kultura natin.

“Pero siyempre, on the other side, kung happy ka, na iyon yung desisyon niya. Kasi alam mong masaya na siya, ‘di ba?” he said.
