It was announced on Tuesday that Filipino singer KZ Tandingan will be part of “Singer 2018” which is a hit reality singing competition in China.
Tandingan will join Singer 2018 as the newest addition to the lineup of contestants.
She will be one of the show’s “challengers” who will “come in after one of the previous contestants is eliminated through public voting,” reported ABS-CBN.
If Tandingan will get enough public votes and manages to not get eliminated, she will stay on the show until the finale in April.
A lineup of professional singers are competitors on the show including Jessie J from the UK; Tien Chong from Hong Kong, Angela Chang from Taiwan; Li Xiaodong, Wang Feng, James Li and Juno Su all from China.
As of this writing, “Singer 2018” has already aired four episodes. In all of the first three episodes, British singer Jessie J has been consistently on top.
Tandingan first came to prominence after winning The X-Factor Philippines in 2012. She is the voice behind OPM hits like “Mahal Ko O Mahal Ako,” “Scared to Death,” and “Wag Ka Nang Umiyak.”
