As evident on her Instagram account, Kris Bernal loves to shop for branded fashion items from shoes to bags.
Expensive items from brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci are often seen on her Instagram photos.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the 28-year-old Kapuso actress shared some shopping tips that she applies to herself.
Bernal said that she controls herself from splurging a lot of money, especially that a single item of a luxury brand is already expensive on its own.
“Pinipigilan ko na rin yung sarili ko kasi just one bag or one pair of shoes is very pricey, e. Ang mahal lang talaga e.
“Minsan pag inisip ko, ‘Shocks, pang-down payment ko na sa kotse ‘yun, pang-down ko na sa lupa yun or sa condominium.
“So kailangan talaga may nagre-remind sa akin from time to time na, ‘Hey invest on something better na for a lifetime, and yung value umaangat,” she told PEP.
The Impostora actress also said that impulsive shopping is a big no-no. And it would be better to visit several stores and compare prices before purchasing a specific item.
“Sobrang tagal ko mag-shop, as in. Sa isang store, siguro mga an hour.
“Gusto ko kasi nakikita ko lahat, e. Gusto ko naiisa-isa ko and, at the same time, tinitignan ko rin yung mga sale items,” she said.
Bernal also said that she is fond of shopping online, but she also reminded buyers to be cautious and beware of fake items that are being sold for a high price.
“Sa Instagram, sobrang daming sellers ng designer brands. Make sure na it’s authentic and it’s a legit seller.
“Minsan kasi may mga sellers na kahit ga’no kadami yung followers, ang taas-taas na but then may mga fake items pa din.
“Make sure na authentic yung binibili mo kasi it’s really pricey,” she shared.
She also said to verify the authenticity of the items, especially if they are bought from a reseller.
“Ask for the receipt, with box, and complete with accessories and tags. Doon mo rin makikita yung authenticity, e.
“You really have to double check the bag, yung stitches, kasi makikita mo rin sa stitches nung bag if it’s fake or authentic.
“Dun din sa logo, kasi once you buy something really expensive, hindi sila nagkakamali. It’s always clean.
“Yung gawa nila palaging pulido so ‘pag may nakikita ka nang problema sa stitching, sa logo, and yung color, yung feel ng leather, dapat pinapa-authenticate mo na yun,” she explained.
Bernal is currently starring a dual character on GMA television drama series Impostora.
