Actress Roxanne Barcelo admitted that she and her boyfriend of four years, Will Devaughn, have called it quits.
Barcelo said during the sidelines of the press conference for her show Wildflower that “little things that piled up” was the main cause of their break up.
“Four years kami. Four and a half. It was the best relationship I’ve ever been in, and he is the best man I’ve ever met, but at some point we fell apart,” she said.
“It was more of, admittedly, we both have our pagkukulang sa isa’t-isa, we could have done better. We really have different paths na we want to grow, independently and individually,” she added.
The actress also said that she and Devaughn ended their relationship on a good note.
“So if you see us out, it’s not because we’re still romantic with each other, but we’re really going back to the friendship. Binabalik lang namin kung ano kami naging una, bago naging kami,” she said.
Barcelo also denied the rumors that Devaughn had been depending on her for financial support which caused their break up.
“He’s very financially stable to be honest. Hindi lang siya visible sa showbiz as much, but he’s also signing with another network very soon. He’s very much stable as a foreigner in the Philippines,” she said.
When asked if she can rekindle her relationship with Devaughn, she said, “Ayoko tuldukan, but at the same time, I really want to focus on making myself happy and whole, by myself muna.”
