Abelardo Espela, a man who sustained a gunshot, was unexpectedly rushed into a hospital by actress Claudine Barretto.
Espela first went to a hospital in Marikina. He, however, was not admitted because the hospital does not accept gunshot victims.
Barretto then heard the plead of Espela’s family member to admit him. She offered help to rush the man to another hospital using her own car.
The actress apparently had some personal matters to attend to at the hospital.
According to reports, Espela was immediately treated and operated in the hospital where Barretto took him.
The actress has yet to release her statement.
