Reigning Bb Pilipinas queens hoping for PH’s winning streak

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. organized a sendoff ceremony for the Philippines’ remaining beauty queen bets to three major pageants yesterday, Nov. 6, at the Novotel Manila-Araneta Center.

Following the Philippines’ recent wins in other beauty pageants, Miss Universe 2017 bet Rachel Peters, Miss Supranational 2017 bet Chanel Thomas and Miss Intercontinental 2017 bet Katarina Rodriguez said they will work even harder to make the country proud.

The Philippines bagged two crowns in just 12 hours, with Karen Ibasco being named Miss Earth 2017 and Winwyn Marquez winning Reina Hispanoamericana 2017.

“I guess for all of us, we’re still just gonna remain humble. Yes, we’re having a really amazing year but that doesn’t mean we have to be slack and slack off. We’re gonna work even harder,” Thomas said.

Rodriguez said her fellow beauty queens’ recent victory in their respective pageants make her excited her to give it her best.

“Well, it makes me feel very, very proud of our two representatives who have gone first. It’s something, I’m sure, to be the first queens competing and they’ve done so well, and they started history. That gets me really excited because I’m the last to compete,” Rodriguez said.

Peters, who will be competing in Miss Universe, said the recent victory of fellow Bb titleholders is a motivating force for her.

“These girls have set the bar so high for us and that makes me wanna work even harder and do even better than I ever imagined I could so thank you to these girls for motivating and inspiring us,” Peters said.

Miss Grand International 2017 Second Runner-up Elizabeth Clenci and Miss Globe 2017 First Runner-up Nelda Ibe also attended the event and wished the three beauty queens good fortune in the upcoming pageants.

Miss Universe finals will take place on Nov. 26, Miss Supranational on Dec. 1 and Miss Intercontinental in late December.
