Audience favorite in X Factor UK Alisah Bonaobra switched things up with her performance of Jennifer Lopez’s 1999 hit “Let’s Get Loud”.

Bonaobra performed the upbeat song for this week’s Viva Latino theme while still showcasing her powerful vocals and high notes.

Clad in a shiny gold dress, the Filipina pumped up the place like it was her own concert, beckoning the audience to join the excitement.

Three of the judges, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, were all smiles while dancing to the song.

“You become this fierce beast, wild animal when you get on that stage,” Scherzinger said, adding that Bonaobra made Filipinos everywhere proud.

For his part, Walsh said the energy exuded by Bonaobra was new to him.

“Where did that come from? At the start of the whole series, I thought you could just sing the big ballads and now you turn into this little tiger tonight with all this amazing energy,” he said.

Simon Cowell, however, had some constructive criticism to offer the young singer.

“You, at some point, Alisah, are gonna have to put your own unique twist on a song. Otherwise it will be considered cabaret and that won’t get you to where you want to be,” Cowell said.

Osbourne was glad Bonaobra had heeded the advice she gave her during the judges’ houses round.

“Alisah, you are more than just a ballad singer, much, much more. You have so impressed me tonight, you’ve come out of your comfort zone,” she said.

Bonaobra has made it through to the live shows after several attempts to solidify her place in the show.
