Ukrainian singer Natalia Dzenkiv, vocalist of Ukrainian band “Lama”, said she was stopped by the border guards from travelling back to her home country because they doubted the age indicated in her passport.
Dzenkiv, 41, was thought to be using someone else’s passport because she looked 20 years younger than what her passport was indicating.
“When I found out the reason for my arrest, I even started laughing as it was [the] age in my passport,” Mirror quoted the singer as saying.
“I am already used to compliments about the way I look, but I couldn’t have imagined that it might be a reason for detaining me,” she added.
The airport staff were unconvinced of her claims until her fans noticed her and defended her.
Later on, Dzenkiv was finally allowed to travel.
