Angelica Hale gets standing ovation in ‘AGT’ finale

Dubbed by judge Simon Cowell as “a star in the future”, 10-year-old Angelica Hale has a good chance of winning this year’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ after she delivered a powerful performance, which earned her a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges.

The powerhouse singer continued to impress the judges and the rest of America with her final performance of Clean Bandit’s “Symphony” during the finals episode on Wednesday morning, Manila time.

“What a way to open the show. What a way. This is the finale, and it felt like that was the finale. I think you might win it with that song,” judge Howie Mandel said.

Heidi Klum, for her part, said Hale is the best singer in the competition.

“I mean, you’re only four feet tall but you are a giant! You really are! You are unbelievable. For me, I think you are the best singer we have in this entire competition.”

Simon Cowell has nothing but praises for the pint-sized singer and said Hale’s stint in “AGT” is just the beginning of her promising career.

“We may be, and it may be sooner rather than later, looking back on this performance to go, ‘This was the moment your career started.’ Angelica, you have my absolute respect,” he said.
