Nicole Chien is now following in the footsteps of her mother, Broadway superstar Lea Salonga, as she prepares to debut in her first professional theater production, “Matilda”.
Nicole, 11, will be playing the role of Ella Gonzales in the Atlantis Theatrical’s production of “Matilda”, the excited mother shared the news on Twitter.

Nicole has been performing in school since the age of five. Before landing the role, Nicole performed at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) at her mother’s concert, Playlist.
Joining Nicole in the theater production, which will start in November, are Uma Naomi Martin, Felicity Kyle Napuli, and Telesa Maria “Esang” De Torres. Esang competed as a finalist for Team Lea in ABS-CBN’s The Voice.
