Actor Derek Ramsay temporarily took off his hat as a showbiz star and wore the hat of a proud dad as he shared that his son has been doing well in Dubai.
Ramsay said in a press conference that he keeps in touch with Austin Gabriel Ramsay, his son with his former wife Mary Jolly.
The hunk actor said his son was recently elected as a student leader in his school.
“He’s good and he was nominated to be the class president. He sent me an email the other day and saying that he’s finding it tough to be the president,” Ramsay said.
Derek said he last how his now 14 year old son in 2015.
“He might be flying in December and hopefully spend Christmas with me. Last 2015, sa akin siya nag-Christmas, 2016 sa mommy niya.”
“Since then, I wanted to know my son first and keep my relationship with him private. Austin was just an eight-year-old boy then and he would not be able to comprehend the possible media curiosity about him,” he said in a previous statement.
Ramsay was involved in a legal dispute after his estranged wife filed charges against him, claiming that she and her son suffered from repeated emotional, psychological and economic abuse during their 12 years of marriage.
