Pinoy newly-wed couple proves that ‘love doesn’t measure’

Researches show that being short can increase feelings of inferiority and incompetence. In terms of work salary, some findings tell that shorter people get lesser than what tall men get. And in terms of relationship, it is thought that short men have a hard time looking for love.

But isn’t it that love is unconditional. That is… if it’s pure.

Newly-weds JC Cruz and Tisha Pereyra prove that love sees no condition, imperfection, or situation.

Despite being a midget, Cruz stands tall for he has found someone who does not see his physical condition as a flaw.

“I was too scared that no one would accept me for who I am. I planned my life being with friends, never settling down and enjoying old age surrounded by more dogs and people. Then I met you,” Cruz said in his wedding vow.

Cruz and Pereyra’s road to the altar did not have a Cinderella run, but in the end, love wins between the two.

“I know it has not been easy for the both of us. Some question, and some have doubts, but our love for each other is stronger. Others may think that you are different, but you are perfect, exactly as you are,” Pereyra said.

He might lack in height, Cruz said, but that doesn’t mean he cannot give love as much 6-footers can give. He might not be able to touch the ceiling and change busted bulbs in their home, but one thing is for sure, he promised Pereyra. That he will grow old just loving her.

“I will give you the best of myself. I’ll cook for you, change a ceiling light bulb for you. Bahala na kung paano gagawin ‘yun—just to make you smile. Knowing you are happy makes me happy too,” Cruz said.
